VanWoerkom Announces Candidacy for Michigan House of Representatives

(Norton Shores, Mich.) - Greg VanWoerkom released the following statement announcing his candidacy for the 91st District of the Michigan House of Representatives.

“I have dedicated my career to public service for the people of West Michigan and Muskegon. I understand the issues impacting our area and have worked to solve the problems that we all face. I am ready from day one to serve and deliver results for the people of Muskegon County.”

Greg VanWoerkom is the District Director for U.S. Representative Bill Huizenga. Greg formerly served as the senior policy adviser to U.S. Representative Pete Hoekstra in Washington, D.C.

“Everyday, I work one-on-one with individuals to help them with their government. I have worked behind the scenes on some the most impactful projects West Michigan has undergone including environmental cleanups, infrastructure improvements and protecting good-paying jobs in Muskegon County. I take to heart the Ronald Reagan adage, ‘there is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit.’”

Greg obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Calvin College and Masters’ Degree from George Washington University in Political Leadership. He lives in Norton Shores with his wife Wendy and three children. Greg currently serves on the board for the United Way of the Lakeshore and as the Board President of Western Michigan Christian High and Middle School.
